Starring Jenny Powers and James Snyder, Dangerous Beauty tells the true, tumultuous tale of Veronica Franco, a celebrated courtesan and poet in 16th century Venice, Italy.

When political disadvantage steals Veronica’s family fortune, she is forced to become a courtesan and turn her back on the man she loves. But instead of becoming a victim of circumstances Veronica rebels by becoming Venice’s premiere courtesan, affording her extraordinary education and power, eventually becoming the most influential woman in Venice. However, as her star rises, her beloved city is ravaged by war, plague, and the Inquisition, and Veronica finds herself on trial for witchcraft, forced to take a stand against the rich and powerful in defense of the city that made her.
